Hackney Empire retains GMV to advise on innovation and digital

One of the East End of London’s favourite venues, the Hackney Empire has retained Golant Media Ventures to advise on innovation.

This includes new ways to exploit digital technologies and data. It will also be looking at how to better exploit its physical spaces, connections to the community and local area and strategic partnerships with local businesses, other cultural organisations and technology companies.

With central and local arts funding under pressure, GMV’s mixture of strategy and organisational development, product, service and experience design and funding and financing advice focuses on transforming audiences’ experiences, generating additional revenues and increasing public benefits.

Empire Chief Executive, Clarie Middleton, comments: “We asked the GMV team to input into the digital and data aspects of our Arts Council NPO application. But as soon as started working with them, we realised that they could help us in so many other ways.”

GMV Joint CEO, Patrick Towell, responds: “We are proud to be working with such a loved institution which exemplifies programming for an engaging with all parts of one of the UK’s most diverse populations. We can’t wait to find new ways to make the most of the Empire’s many intellectual assets and creative capabilities.”
